I didn't intend for this to be my first (and likely only) post this week. I was all for new year, new schedule and try and update 2-3 times a week. However this week, of all weeks when I had no work and no uni, I kind of just got wrapped up in having all that free time. I intended to sew, sew, sew and although I got a fair bit done, I didn't actually finish anything. At the moment for completion, I have my ByHand London Elisalex dress (only the neckline and armholes to hem), my Chanel Jacket (attach lining to outer, trim and do buttons) and my project for my friend (yeah, top secret right now!). I also made up some bits and pieces to sell (think collars, bow-ties for girls and other fabric jewellery). So I have been busy,I just don't have much to show for it! Ha! Anyway, I'm off work tomorrow and Sunday before uni goes back on Monday, so it's definitely my intention to get both the dress and jacket finished. The other project, still needs a little work and a fitting.
Top secret project for my friend and bow brooch for Nicola
Here are this weeks posts that have caught my interest. I'm definitely going to be working on some of the ideas in these in the coming weeks.
1. Sarai's Good habit of the month - I SHOULD TAKE NOTE!
2. Maddie continues her sloper drafting posts with this one on how to draft a bodice back.
3. I've just started following M&J Trim's Blog, which has some great DIY ideas.
4. I adore this bib necklace DIY over on Mood's blog.
So that's me for this week. What projects are you working on just now and are you working on multiple (a la me) or doing the more sensible option and concentrating on one thing at a time?
