Alexander Henry Sew Along Scout Tee!

I've wanted to make Scout Tee for ages.  It's a simple shape and designed for wovens, what's not to love?  So what I can't work out is why it's taken for the lovely Wanett to host a sew along over on Kollabora for me to make one?  (oh yeah, it's cause I'm totally jealous of her awesome versions!)

Anyway, when I got home from holidays, I caught up with the sew along and made up my version.  Sorry for the bad bad photos, I took them late last night and I clearly just couldn't be bothered doing anything with my hair!

I also have a really bad thing to admit about this fabric purchase.  I bought it on Saturday, one full week after I was home and had promised myself that I would get through my Canada fabric before buying anything new from work.  FAIL.  But let's talk about how amazing this print is?!  It's another Alexander Henry called Phil's Drive-In.  It was the one I requested when we were doing the order so I figured I had to buy it and make something with it since it's totally my fault it's in the shop! Ha

I also really love the Scout pattern.  It's soo simple and the sew along really helped with the bias neck and made me think of other ways to make up this versatile pattern (check out the amazing versions others have uploaded!).  I'm already planning my next version!

Oh and my work has just relaunched our blog!  I'll be involved with this and I'm currently coming up with different ideas for posts.  I've just posted the Alexander Henry bag tutorial I wrote on here the other month.  Go check it out!

  1. It's such a great pattern isn't it?! It must be so hard to resist buying fabric when you work in such a lovely fabric shop! Anyway, your version is lovely, and well worth the splurge on new fabric.

    1. It really is great pattern, I saw your version and totally loved it although when I went to comment on it I lost your post thanks to my rubbish attempt at trying to use both google reader and bloglovin together right up til the end! Ha!

  2. Cute! I love the print you used-- so much fun! I'm taking a break right now from making a Scout tee myself. I'm glad to have an excuse to make more-- it's such a versatile pattern!
