I'm backkk

Turns out I was away for longer than I imagined.  My plan for at least weekly Friday posts went totally out the window, and it's been over a month since my last post.  I'd love to tell you that uni is the sole reason and although that was the largest contributor, the rest of my life just kind of caught up with me.
Not only have I not blogged for over a month, I hardly touched my sewing machine for the duration.  It took for me to get to the night before work's Halloween Saturday with little of my costume sewn to make me sit down at my machine and actually make something.  Usually I'd be sewing at least daily but since going back to uni after my summer break (which now seems like a distant memory since it's week 8 of trimester a) I've only sewn a handful of items.  I suppose I could say I lost my sew-jo!  But over the past couple of weeks I've been finding a little time to make some simple garments from my favourite patterns and a couple of new ones!
The only thing that I didn't stop doing over this period was buying fabric!  My stash is ever-expanding and I see no reason for that to change.  I do have some lovely cuts that I can't wait to make up.
So thank you for understanding why I've been away for so long and for still reading :)
For this first post back, I've gonna share a few photos from my instagram that will fill you in on what I've been up to.

That's it for now, I'm off to London town tomorrow morning with my mum as a wee post-birthday/Christmas shopping trip!  And I'm sure I'll fit some fabric shopping in at some point (I can already hear Walthamstow and Berwick St calling my name!).  I'll aim to be back with a make at the end of next week!
